Lucy, as we call her, is originally from Laredo, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 1990 and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 1992 from Southwest Texas State University. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Since 1992, Lucy has worked with children who have a variety of delays and/or disorders-from mild to severe. She has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Cleft Palate/Lip, Sensory Integration Disorder, and others. She also has experience working with articulation and language impairments, central auditory processing disorders, augmentative communication and oral motor dysfunction.
